Ergomotion Adjustable Bed Bases now comply with the
European Union’s EMC Directive, which enables the company to
mark its products with the C E logo to permit shipments of
its beds into the European Union, Australia, New Zealand,
Japan and South America. The CE marking indicates the
products meet or exceed essential health and safety
requirements. Only manufacturers of electrical or electronic
products in full compliance with the EMC Directive may use
the C E Marking and legally ship into the European Union.
Compliance with the EMC Directive is mandatory The Directive
is considered the most complex and far reaching of the many
regulations that have been introduced into the European
Union. It applies to most electrical and electronic products
sold there. To comply, products must have an “adequate level
of immunity from external disturbances and not cause
interference with other products/systems”. Compliance with
the Directive became mandatory January 1, 1996.
The requirements for the CE marking were created by the
European Union (EU); the markings are required throughout
the European Economic Area (EEA). It is one of numerous
Agreements on Mutual Recognition of Conformity Assessment
between the European Union and the USA, Japan, Canada,
Australia, New Zealand and Israel.

adjustable bases in key worldwide markets as well as within
South America, where the CE mark is also widely recognized,”

Ergomotion will show its products to domestic and
international customers in the new building C, space 1355
during the Las Vegas Market Jul July 28 through August 1,
2008.

available. All are wall-friendly and feature removable
height-adjustable legs. Snap-in replacement parts require no
