March 7, 2011 - Leading European bedding brand
Magniflex today announced it will debut an expanded
organic bedding collection within its showroom at the
Spring 2011 High Point Furniture Market. The Linen
Experience collection and two linen-covered pillows will
make their High Point debut. They join several new
collections featuring the company’s temperature
regulating and anti-bacterial fabrics, certified for
environmental safety by Oeko-Tex and the Global Organic
Textiles Standard (GOTS).

To accommodate the volume of recent requests for its
linen offerings, the company has moved the Linen
Experience mattress to Quick Ship, the company’s 5-day
drop ship program.
“Retailers are telling us that the Linen Experience
offers a very distinct comfort feel -- a cross between
memory foam and latex,” said Magniflex Global Sales
Director Marco Magni. “The linen is also unique,
environmentally friendly and offers many health benefits
in addition to being exceptionally soft and absorbent.
Ours is made from organically bio-cultured flax, a
rapidly renewable crop that requires much less water
than cotton to grow.”
The Linen Experience features a seven-zone checkered
support core which allows two consumers with different
heights or weights to sleep comfortably on the same
mattress. The core is temperature neutral and made from
the company’s open cell soy-based foam. It retails from
$1,999 in queen.
Magniflex will also unveil two redesigned pillows
which have been upgraded to organic without an increase
in price. The Orthomassage Pillow ($159) and Comfort
Plus Pillow ($99) will feature removable and washable
organic linen covers and temperature-neutral Geogreen
aloe-based foam cores.
Step-up models include the Deluxe ($2,449) and Linen
Biosoft Deluxe ($3,999) in which the linen is quilted to
a temperature neutral aloe-based memory foam layer and
supported by a plant-based memory foam core.
The additions join other organic collections to be
presented at High Point. These include Bamboo Chic (from
$1,499) and BioCotton Caresse ($2,099), featuring GOTS-certified
organic bamboo and cotton, respectively.
The expanded Tonino Lamborghini by Magniflex
Collection will showcase the latest designer mattresses
featuring the brand’s signature red, black and white
motif.
Of note are the Montecarlo mattress ($4,092)
featuring a stylish black cover made with natural carbon
fiber, and the Silverstone ($3,273) featuring a sleek
silver cover. Carbon imparts superior antibacterial and
antiseptic qualities while silver offers natural
antibacterial and antistatic properties. Each comes with
dual cores to allow a couple to tailor his/her side of
the bed to “soft” or “firm” feels.
Magniflex was the first mattress company to be
certified by Oeko-Tex to guarantee absence of allergenic
substances harmful to consumers and to the environment.
The company also holds the original patent on the
vacuum-packing system that shrinks and rolls the
mattress to a tenth of its size, enabling one-person
delivery and setup. Besides saving money during the
shipping process, vacuum-packing significantly lowers
the product’s overall carbon footprint.
