Magniflex Europe’s leading
trendsetter in bedding took a
huge step into the hospitality
(hotel and motel) marketplace in
the United States. The company
recently announced its first
North American hospitality
program at the International
Hotel & Motel and Restaurant
Show (IHMRS), which took place
November 13 to 16 in NYC.
Building on its experience
having served hoteliers
throughout Europe, the Italian
brand is offering an elegant
array of specialty foam
mattresses, which leverage the
company’s commitment to
technology and innovation.
“We are very excited about
bringing our considerable
experience serving major hotels
in the European market to the
hotel industry,” said Magniflex
Global Sales Director Marco
Magni. “Consumer interest in the
Magniflex brand has been very
strong as a result of our
significant investments in the
brand over the past few years.
We are well positioned to
deliver the same great service
and craftsmanship to hotels
seeking to elevate the guest
experience with enhanced
mattress comfort and
made-in-Italy quality.”
Magni added that hotels can
rest easy on the company’s
ability to ship quickly and
low-cost drop ship program. Its
distribution network is served
by a central manufacturing
facility in Prato, Italy, near
the city of Florence, which
produces up to 10,000 mattresses
a day.
Magniflex showed at New
York’s Jacob Javits Convention
Center this week where they
demonstrated their latest
mattresses, pillows,
accessories, and discussed
services designed to meet the
needs of hotels of various
sizes.
The Protetto Bed-Bug
Repellent Mattress
With the emerging fears over a
bed-bug epidemic in the US. the
company’s Protetto line, the
first Oeko-Tex certified bed
bug-repelling mattress was a
very timely introduction for the
North American market Harnessing
the power of plant-based insect
repellants, Magniflex’s Protetto
Mattress features the first
mattress cover treated with a
microencapsulated formulation of
lemon and eucalyptus to be
introduced in North America.
“We have been working on
developing this type of product
for a few years but decided to
bring it to the forefront now
after receiving significant
interest and requests in the
U.S.,” said Magni. “There is a
real need for solutions from the
bedding industry right now, and
as a manufacturer at the
forefront of advanced fabric
technologies, we felt compelled
to develop and offer a viable
option for the North American
market.”
Magni continued to say that the
technology this product employs,
backed by more than 15 years of
successful application in
medical, sports and other
industries, offers consumers
greater comfort and peace of
mind to ultimately enhance their
quality of rest.
In recent years, Magniflex
introduced many leading-edge
fabric technologies in the U.S.
and Canada, each offering highly
specialized health benefits to
the consumer such as temperature
regulation and moisture control.
Mattress covers featured fabrics
made from materials such as
corn, soy, bamboo and marine
algae. Most recently, the
company employed nanotechnology
to deliver the benefits of
essential oils in its
aromatherapy mattress
collection.
Other products include the
Magniflex Classic and Magniflex
Naturally Collections. A
top-selling line in the U.S.,
the Naturally line consists of
MaisPrestige, EcoBamboo and
GreenCotton mattresses which
feature corn fiber, bamboo and
organic cotton, respectively.
For more than 50 years,
Magniflex has developed many
unique mattress covers and cores
that provide comfort and safety
to consumers while minimizing
impact on the environment.
Magniflex was the first mattress
company in the world to have its
products certified by Oeko-Tex
to guarantee the absence of
allergenic substances harmful to
consumers and to the
environment.
In addition, Magniflex holds the
original patent on the
vacuum-packing system that
shrinks and rolls a mattress to
a tenth of its size, enabling
one-person delivery and setup.
Besides saving money during the
shipping process, vacuum-packing
significantly lowers the
product’s overall carbon
footprint.
