Mattress Firm, Inc., one of
the nation’s leading specialty
mattress retailers, today
announced the acquisition of
eight franchised-owned locations
from franchise partners, Ryan
Vinson and Scott Scoggins with
Peak Management. The addition of
the Chattanooga, Knoxville and
Huntsville locations brings the
corporate store count to 530 and
the franchise store count to 70.
In addition to three new
markets, Vinson and Scoggins
will also join the corporate
organization. Vinson will step
into a new role for the company
– director of new market
development. He will be
responsible for establishing
successful new market stores
through cross-functional
coordination with an
entrepreneurial focus. Scoggins
will continue to oversee the
acquired markets as district
manager.

Ryan and Scott have proven that

Vinson started his career at
Mattress Firm in the sales and
management program 11 years ago.
He held several roles including
district manager before opening
franchise locations in 2007. His
growth and development through
the corporate sales organization
prepared him for success as a
franchisee. Early success
allowed the franchise to expand
during a time when most
retailers were closing doors.
Vinson is a graduate of Stephen
F. Austin State University.
Scoggins joined Mattress Firm
in 1995. Shortly after, he
became a partner in the Mattress
Firm Elite franchise and helped
build a 50 store chain across
the southeastern United States.
He’s held a number of roles at
Mattress Firm including district
manager, city manager and
franchisee. Scoggins is a
graduate of Stephen F. Austin
State University.
