March 16,
2011 -
Naturepedic, the company who has led the way in the
development of fully certified, truly organic mattresses
for cribs and kids' beds is showing in Room M413, 4th
Floor IHFC, right off the elevators.

Barry A. Cik,
founder of the company, invites furniture, department
store and mattress store buyers to review the company's
new program, featuring crib, twin, full and queen size
children's organic mattresses. “This kids’
mattress program has been designed to offer healthier
organic products for children.” Cik, a twenty-five
year veteran Board Certified Environmental Engineer,
points out that today's mothers are very concerned about
the health and safety of their children and they are
looking for products that are non-allergenic, non-toxic,
environmentally safe and void of harmful chemicals.
Naturepedic has attained the highest level of organic
certification in the industry in order to address the
needs of children and their parents' concerns.
An easy
program for retailers and their sales associates
Barry Cik
states that this program was designed specifically for
furniture and mattress stores looking to offer healthier
children's beds. A store can start with a placement of
one or two floor models, or they can receive a full
three-bed gallery. These mattresses can also be
displayed in children's beds or bunk beds that the store
may already be selling. In addition, Naturepedic
offers crib and infant mattresses as well as accessories
for all their mattresses (including organic waterproof
mattress pads, quilted toppers, pillows, sheets,
changing table pads, and more).
Powerful
SAFE AND HEALTHY retail marketing program
Naturepedic's
beds are the first to feature LEVEL 3 of the Specialty
Sleep Association’s (SSA) Environmental and Safety
Program "truth in green marketing" tags. Not only
does Naturepedic feature such certifications as
GREENGUARD and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS),
but the company is a pioneer with the LEVEL 3 of the SSA
program. The SSA’s program allows retailers and
their customers to understand the contents of a mattress
and to assure concerned consumers about safety and
health issues.
In 2009, the
U.S. government banned several chemicals from the
manufacturing process used to make baby mattresses. But
even under new government regulations, those mattresses
do not meet Naturepedic’s rigorous crib and kids’
mattress standards. That’s why leading children’s
and chemical-free advocacy groups recommend Naturepedic
– including Healthy Child Healthy World, Washington
Toxics Coalition, American Sustainable Business Council,
and more.
Naturepedic
mattresses are made with certified organic cotton
fabric, certified organic cotton filling, and optional
waterproofing so pure that it meets food-contact
standards. Retailers need to carry Naturepedic
products because it’s the right thing to do for kids –
and it’s a simple, easy, highly profitable sell.
