system at the Las Vegas Market
this August 2-6, 2010. The
OrganicPedic® DUO by OMI
mattress allows each partner to
select individual comfort
preferences on each side of the
same bed. According to an OMI
company spokesperson, consumer
demand for customizable organic
mattresses is on the rise.
“We all know sleep is vital for
physical and emotional
well-being, but many couples
find sharing a bed difficult,”
said OMI President and CEO Walt
Bader. “For far too long, the
organic consumer has had to
accept products that did not
meet the same comfort and
posture support quality level as
mainstream or other specialty
sleep offerings. People were
sacrificing comfort for healthy
sleep.”
The DUO allows OMI to give their
customers more comfort choices.
The zippered organic cotton
quilted cover allows easy access
to the interior layers, starting
with OMI’s signature 3-inch,
100-percent natural rubber latex
sculpted top layer. Underneath
this layer there are two
individual adjustable comfort
layers on each side, nestled
together to form the bed’s core.
Each interchangeable layer is
individually labeled to identify
the mattress’ comfort options –
extra soft, soft, medium, and
firm – that the sleeper can
position each component to
create her or his exact comfort
level.
“Our retailers requested organic
mattresses with more
customizable sleep options,”
adds Bader. “Along with our
OrganicPedic® 81 by OMI, which
we recently introduced, our
latest introductions relieve
retailers from the headache of
comfort exchanges and give
consumers control of their
comfort by adjusting a layer, if
needed.”
The DUO queen mattress has a
suggested retail price of
$3,995. From the contrasting
colored detailing to the brass
zippered cover, the DUO’s fine
