September 9, 2008 -
Outlast Technologies, the
pioneer in phase change
technology for bedding and
sleepwear, and Menopause The
Musical Out Loud Tour: Breaking
the Silence of Ovarian Cancer,
announce the launch of a new
partnership for Ovarian Cancer
Awareness Month.
In honor of Ovarian Cancer
Awareness Month this September,
Outlast Technologies and
Menopause The Musical Out Loud
Tour are teaming up to raise
awareness and funds for ovarian
cancer research. For the month
of September, Outlast will be
donating a percentage of sales
to ovarian cancer research.
Bedding products made with
Outlast technology are uniquely
engineered to help mitigate
symptoms associated with
menopause, reducing the severity
of hot flashes and night sweats
for a better night's sleep.
"We're excited to team up with
'Menopause The Musical'", says
Guy Eckert, Executive Vice
President of Business
Development at Outlast. This
partnership gives us a chance to
do something positive for the
community, while giving women
the opportunity to experience
the unique performance of
Outlast bedding products. By
2015, half of the women in the
US will be experiencing symptoms
associated with menopause and
Outlast is the only fabric
technology able to provide them
with a solution.
Joanne Grant, Vice President of
Production for TOC Productions,
Inc. commented, "'Menopause The
Musical' encourages a healthy
dialogue about issues of aging
and women's health and provides
a unique opportunity to raise
awareness with female audiences.
We really do hope to break the
silence on the issues of ovarian
cancer, and we're excited that
Outlast will be supporting those
efforts."
A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP WITH
OUTLAST BEDDING
Products with Outlast's
temperature regulating
technology help reduce the
severity of hot flashes and
night sweats, for a better
night's sleep. In bedding and
sleepwear, Outlast products are
designed to balance a sleeper's
skin temperature, allowing her
to remain comfortable during the
night. Unlike traditional fabric
and insulation that trap heat,
products with patented Outlast
Thermocules actually absorb
excess body heat when one
becomes too warm. This
technology has been incorporated
into a variety of sleeping
products such as mattresses,
mattress pads, pillows and
sleepwear from well-known brands
like Select Comfort, HoMedics,
Sealy, Restonic, and Dillard's.
All products made with Outlast
technology are recommended for
women suffering from hot flashes
and night sweats or anyone with
sleep disturbances.
ABOUT MENOPAUSE THE
MUSICAL
Since March 2001, the hilarious
show Menopause The Musical has
entertained and inspired women
worldwide. The work of writer
Jeanie Linders, Menopause The
Musical is a 90-minute
production which includes 25 re-lyricized
tunes from the '60s and '70s and
culminates with a salute to
women who are going through The
Change. Menopause The Musical
Out Loud Tour: Breaking the
Silence of Ovarian Cancer!
joyfully and hilariously
parodies over two dozen of the
classic "baby boomer" songs of
the '60s and '70s, among them,
"I Heard It Through the
Grapevine, You No Longer See 39"
and the disco-flavored "Stayin'
Awake Stayin' Awake"
Presented by the Jeanie C.
Linders Fund, the 2008-2009
season of Menopause The Musical
Out Loud Tour kicks off in
Greenville, SC, on September 5,
2008, to raise funds for
