Coming hot on the heels of their
announced departure from the
King Koil group, Pennsylvania
Bedding has announced that they
will be joining
Therapedic International, as
the licensee covering Central
PA, New York State, Maryland,
and part of West Virginia for
the top ten bedding company.
Pennsylvania Bedding, which has
roots dating back to 1906, had
been a King Koil licensee for
over 40-years.
“It’s the right move at the
right time,” said Bill Spudis,
president of PA Bedding.
“We, now, will have the
flexibility to operate as a
regional powerhouse,” said
Spudis. “This will allow us to
provide our retailers with
exactly what they need to
succeed today,” he added.
Spudis called Therapedic a
“perfect fit” for the company.
“The Kathy Ireland Home brand is
‘a natural’ with our dealer
base,” he said.
“We are looking forward to
embracing the Kathy Ireland Home
story,” added Scott Wallis,
sales manager for PA Bedding.
“In these challenging times, now
more than ever, we need to have
the ability to respond to the
retailer’s needs,” said Wallis.
“Therapedic gives us that,” he
added.
As for Therapedic,
president/CEO, Gerry Borreggine
said the company was thrilled to
have PA Bedding join the group.
“We have added a factory, with a
celebrated history in the
bedding industry, that will
become ‘a cornerstone licensee’
of the group,” said Borreggine.
“They have won numerous awards
for quality manufacturing,
sales, and leadership. And now,
they’re on our team,” he said.
