Specialty Sleep Association Announces New Members

of Board of Directors Following World Market Center

Expands Board for More In-Depth Programs and Policies such as the SSA “Green Initiative”

March 31, 2009 - The Specialty Sleep Association (SSA) announces that Todd Youngblood and Jeff Scorziell have been named members of the Board of Directors according to SSA president Dale T. Read. “The Specialty Sleep Association is thrilled to have Todd and Jeff join our board due to their insight into the specialty sleep category and drive to reach our goals toward ‘the future of sleep’.”

Todd Youngblood is President of Chili Technology LLC, ProSource Services International and T2International. A graduate of Principia College with a B.S. in Business Administration, Todd has held positions in sales and product management at American Recreation Products and Stearns/K2 Inc. Youngblood is married to his business partner and the parent of four sons. He was born in Florida and grew up in Rockville Center, NY.

Jeff Scorziell has three generations of experience in the mattress business. He started his career at the age of 17 making mattresses when his family owned a King Koil franchise. From 1989 to 1993, he served as sales manager at a Loving Care/Springwall franchise in Southern California. Scorziell joined his family’s factory direct mattress business in 1993. Under his leadership, the company grew from 6 to 40 stores in the southern California market. Jeff joined Anatomic Global in March 2008 to develop an eco-friendly mattress line to bring to market. Jeff has both experience in the manufacturing and retail side of the business.

At the World Market Center in Las Vegas, the SSA also re-elected their leadership team. Dale T. Read, the editor-in-chief and publisher of Bedroom Magazine, will continue to serve as President and Treasurer; retailer Michael Nermon of Ergo Customized Comfort serves as Vice President; and Mark Miller of Innomax, Denny Boyd of Boyd Specialty Sleep, and Bart Dehaerne, President of Deslee Textiles, USA continue to serve as board members.

Memory foam, latex, air, gel, water, adjustable, new spring technology, natural and organic bedding products continue to fuel the growth of the bedding industry.

Over the past several months, the SSA has succeeded in attracting other new members to its group, such as Sealy, I-Care Sleep Products, 1-800-Mattress, TempurPedic, Leggett & Platt, Englander, Natura World, Hollandia, Lilly Management, Comfortaire, and Latex International, among others.
