Simmons Hosts the New Beautyrest Cash & Comfort Rebate Event

 

New Promotion, Redesigned Beautyrest.com and National Ad Campaign Kick Off

Summer Mattress-Buying Season for Retailers and Consumers

 
May 17, 2011 - With summer mattress-buying season just around the corner, Simmons Bedding Company is celebrating this Memorial Day with the NEW Beautyrest® Cash & Comfort Rebate Event. Starting May 15 through July 5, customers will have a chance to win over 20,000 rebates up to $1,000 and be automatically entered to win a weekly rebate of $5,000. The promotion is designed to generate excitement surrounding the new Simmons lines at retail, a redesigned Beautyrest.com and a new national advertising campaign to help draw consumers to retail during popular summer sales season.

“The NEW Beautyrest Cash & Comfort Rebate Event gives consumers fun incentives to purchase the broadest range of comforts in the brand’s 86-year history,” said Tim Oakhill, Simmons’ executive vice president of marketing. “We’re excited to round out our campaign and give consumers a deeper connection to our iconic Beautyrest brand.”

NEW BEAUTYREST® CASH & COMFORT REBATE EVENT

To help retailers make the most of the NEW Beautyrest® Cash & Comfort Rebate Event, Simmons has developed a variety of in-store materials including ceiling danglers, sell sheets, posters, window clings and tent cards, in addition to print ads, television tags and radio scripts that retailers may use to advertise the promotion in their local markets. To help drive store traffic, the company is launching an extensive national advertising campaign to coincide with the summer promotion.

 

NATIONAL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

Simmons’ new Beautyrest® national advertising campaign, set to run May 15 through September, is designed to generate awareness excitement and purchase intent among consumers during key retail sales periods. Strikingly unique butterfly imagery will be used in advertisements that will appear in national weekly magazines such as People and Parade and online advertising networks such as CNN, MSNBC and Yahoo and will be featured on Simmons’ Facebook and Twitter pages.

For most consumers in need of a mattress, it’s been 10 or more years since their last purchase, and a decade’s worth of technology changes makes shopping a confusing task. To better summarize new technologies and new lines on retail floors, Simmons has redesigned Beautyrest.com to give consumers a more simplified, educational mattress-buying experience. The newly updated website includes information on current sales promotions and videos that depict new technologies including: the New Beautyrest® Smart Response™ Pocketed Coil® Technology, while demonstrating key Beautyrest® benefits such as unsurpassed motion separation, conformability and back support. The Which Beautyrest Is The Best Fit For You video walks shoppers through each of the brand classes in the Beautyrest® line, while a comparison chart outlines differences between the various models and technologies.

 

NEW LINES AT RETAIL

The new Beautyrest® Smart Response™ Pocketed Coil® Technology features a revolutionary dual action design that functions like two coils working in series – the top, tapered section of the coil conforms to a sleeper’s shape for comfort and pressure relief while the firmer, barrel-shape bottom section reacts to one’s body weight and sleeping position for individualized back support and alignment. Now featuring the new coil, the new Beautyrest® NXG® line offers consumers a best-of-both-worlds combination of advanced technologies, giving customers supportive sleep through the contouring comfort and pressure relief of NXG® Memory Foam enhanced by the motion separation and individualized back support of new Beautyrest® Smart Response™ Pocketed Coil® Technology. The new Beautyrest® Elite™ line also features the new Beautyrest® Smart Response™ Pocketed Coil® Technology.
