January 7, 2011 - The
Sleep On Green mattresses
are not your typical “green”
mattresses. Manufactured in
Italy, the mattresses are made
from Mother Nature’s purest
elements – Pure Wool, Pure
Cotton, Coconut Fiber, Natural
Latex, and Bamboo Fiber. All of
these elements are
hypoallergenic, resistant to
bacteria, mold, mildew and 100%
biodegradable.
With over 15 years of
research and development, the
Sleep On Green team has worked
to develop a mattress that is a
healthy alternative to the
chemical filled mattress that we
sleep on today. With the team’s
knowledge and dedication, Sleep
On Green has created a mattress
that truly strengthens the
immune system by allowing the
individual to live in harmony
with the forces of nature.
Director of Business
Development, Devin Furlong
stated, “Incorporating natural
elements like wool, cotton,
bamboo, latex, and coconut fiber
keep the mattress completely
breathable and dry. Wool
separates the body from viruses
and bacterium created by the
warm-humid environment within a
mattress itself.” Cotton and
bamboo allow for better air
circulation, which helps remove
and absorb body moisture,
drawing heat away from the skin
and keeping the body cool and
dry. Latex and coconut fiber
diminish high pressure areas
that shut off capillary blood
flow causing a person to toss
and turn. Reducing pressure
helps to bring oxygen and
nutrients to the bodies muscles;
keeping the sleeper recharged
and renewed every morning.
To complement the 100%
natural mattresses, Sleep On
Green offers Orthoflex – a
natural wood base frame with
adjustable wooden slats- that
allows the sleeper the
opportunity to adjust the
firmness of the mattress as well
as allows for good
air-circulation, thus enhancing
your sleep. The frames slats are
made from the wood of beech
trees. They are mounted on
natural rubber supports and are
double layered to reinforce
support on the body’s lumbar
region. The frames slats can
easily be modified to fit the
firmness of each sleeper. This
unique design also provides
excellent air flow to circulate
through out the mattress,
creating a healthier sleep
environment.
