January 19, 2011 - On the eve of
the furniture market,
Spring Air International
will present the company’s
first-ever Licensee of the Year
Award in its showroom here to
Spring Air East, headed by
president Bill Spudis, announced
company president Rick Robinson.
At the same presentation,
Spring Air also will announce
the winners of a new Salesperson
of the Year Award. The award
will be presented to one sales
representative from each
licensee who best met several
performance criteria established
and evaluated by his/her “home”
licensee.
All awards are based on
exceptional performance in the
2010 calendar year.
“We’re very excited about
establishing these award
programs and taking the
opportunity before market breaks
to recognize these outstanding
individuals in the Spring Air
group,” Robinson commented.
The new Licensee of the
Year Award—to be presented
to Scott Wallis, sales manager
of Spring Air East—honors the
best performance in sales,
manufacturing quality and
participation in the overall
licensee group, as determined by
senior Spring Air staff.
“As a new licensee in our
group, Spring Air East
(Pennsylvania Bedding, Old
Forge, PA) had the difficult
task of reinventing itself and
redefining its organization in a
short period of time,” Robinson
said. “
But Bill Spudis and his team
never hesitated to make the
financial and emotional
investments necessary for such a
transition. As a result, their
transformation and contribution
to the Spring Air brand and
company has been stunning.”
Robinson also pointed up
Spring Air East’s sales success
with the company’s new Sleep
Sense™ line, as well as its
demonstrated ability to secure a
healthy number of major accounts
in its first full year,
representing more than 100 new
retail floors on the east coast.
Having visited Spring Air
East’s manufacturing facility,
Robinson said “their products in
the factory and in the field are
outstanding. Their attention to
detail is second to none in our
organization.”
Finally, Spring Air East was
cited for its consistent
communications style, project
follow-through and valuable
input both as part of—or apart
from--the company’s committee
system.
At the same time, Spring Air
will announce the Salesperson of
the Year winners for 2010, whose
names will be engraved on a
plaque and displayed in the
showroom lobby during market.
Each Spring Air licensee set
its own criteria for the award
and decided on the winning rep
from its organization. Among
other measures, criteria
included total sales, new
account openings and percent of
Back Supporter sales to total
sales.
