January
11, 2011 - Chris Taylor has been named director of sales
of the Furniture Retail Division at
Protect-A-Bed®, a premier provider of bedding
protection products. In his position, Taylor will
oversee the company’s new focus to sell their full
line-up of products directly to home furnishings
customers.
“Protect-A-Bed has a long history of providing mattress
protection products to the home furnishings channel, and
we’re excited to offer an expanded product line to
them,” said Protect-A-Bed CEO James Bell. “We hope that
with the addition of Chris, we can expand our leadership
and expertise in this industry.”
Protect-A-Bed is changing their focus from selling
products through distributors to selling directly to
their customers. “This not only means that our long-time
and new customers will have access to our full line-up
of products, they will also have training and support
from our award-winning product trainers.”
Taylor and his team will work closely with current and
prospective customers across the country to educate them
on the benefits of creating a healthy sleep zone and
protecting their bedding investment. “Consumers are
becoming increasingly convinced of the need to protect
mattresses and pillows against dust mites, which is a
major cause of asthma, allergies and eczema,” Taylor
says. “They are also concerned about the recent and
growing bed bug infestation issue and are looking for
ways to protect themselves.”
Prior to joining Protect-A-Bed, Taylor served in a
variety of sales and business development roles in the
home furnishings industry. In all, Taylor has nearly 15
years of experience in business development and national
account management that has resulted in multi-million
dollar revenue growth.
“Chris has a strong reputation for developing and
implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to
achieve and exceed sales goals,” Bell said. “He also has
a lot of experience managing and directing teams of
sales representatives. He is an essential part of our
company’s growth and expansion.”
Taylor is a graduate of Wake Forest University where
he received a B.A. in communications and a MBA with an
emphasis in marketing strategy.
Taylor resides in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
